Most parents know this book, a true toddler favorite. It goes like this:
Brown bear brown bear what do you see? I see a blue bird looking at me… And it repeats over and over. Anyway, kids love it.
In a variation of this story, my daughter’s pre-school played a game where they asked the children “what do you see”? allowing the children to spontaniously come up with their own answer. When I picked my girl up from school the other day, they had a bulletin board setup with “brown bear brown bear what do you see…?” and below where pictures of the children along with quotes of their answers.
Scanning across the board, here’s a sampling of the answers.
“I see a fish.”
“A dolphin”
“Doggy”
“I see a tree”
Then I come across my daughter’s very original answer:
“A birdy made poop on my window”.
