Hi !

I read your story. We have been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half and no luck. So we started thinking about adoption and my wish is to adobt a girl from japan. But of course that will not be easy. We live in Europe - Slovenia, and that is a long ride to Japan. If you could tell me how much were the costs back than for everything ?

Adopting is not stressfull like trying to conceive, but defently is more expensive.

Your daughter is beautiful... and if God finds us and gives us our own baby, we will will want to adopt.

Wish you good luck, Love Lara

Hi, I have thoroughly read the history (including the update). Thank you for the beautiful pictures. She is a doll. No need to e-mail. I found the listing of agencies. Thank you for all of your efforts. A lot can change in a couple of years.

I love reading your updates with regards to your adoption of a japanese pretty baby girl. She's now grown up and looks so good on her photos. I am so happy for you and your beautiful japanese adopted daughter.

I too am running into dead ends on the Japanese adoption front at this point. One American agency based out of CA told me that the Japanese agency they use no longer takes applications from parents that already ahve children in the home. which is unfortunate b/c we have 4 kids but are moving to Japan and want to adopt atleast one more while we are living in Japan.
Your daughter is beautiful and I am so happy for you!

P.S. I forgot to post that, I too heard of some agencies closing down their Japan adoption programs. However, our agency did successfully facilitate a dozen or so infant adoptions last year (all wonderful, amazing kids...though, I may be a bit biassed). :-) So, there are programs out there for prospective parents.

Wow- she has grown up so much and is so beautiful!! Amazing how time flies, isn't it? :-) Hope that the immigration paperwork goes smoothly now and that you'll be done with all of that soon. :-)

So true what you wrote about adopted children adjusting. Emi had a harder time in the begining but you'd never know it now. Miya was so young when she came home from Tokyo, so there were little or no issues. But, they are both equally well-adjusted now...and typical sisters. We'll need to get our "Japan" girls together someday. Glad to hear that you're all doing well!!

Aloha,
