Can you please contact me with the information of the woman in California who helped you out with the Agency to Rescure Children? I tried to look them up online and was not very successful in finding anything.
Thank you,
Karen

We are from the UK and about to start a Japan adoption using a US agency, who have not been forthcoming about how much the court application side of things in Japan is likely to cost (we know about accommodation costs etc as we travel to Japan on vacation quite frequently). Are you able to give us a ballpark figure for court costs? I know that each family's circumstances may be slightly different, but we need some sort of a starting point for our financial calculations.

We love your blog.

Hi everyone, my name is Yukari and I was adopted from Hiroshima Japan when I was 9 months old. Its interesting to me to see the name Kageyama. One of the women that helped with my adoption was of the last name Kageyama. I was adopted in 1977 to a wonderful family in hawaii and I know very little of my "roots". I feel like a huge part of who i am lies in that information. I really do not know where to start and would appreciate any help that anyone may be able to give. If anyone might have an idea of how I should approach this please contact me thru talonsmxmom@hotmail.com

Hello,

Would you mind to send the CA contact number for Agency to Rescue Children? My husband and I are in the middle of the China meltdown, and looking for any other options. Even if there is a chance they are accepting applications, we feel we should inquire. Thank you for your willingness to help others navigate the waters of international adoption!

I was so excited to find your website and read about your trip to get your daughter. Japan is such a beautiful country with a beautiful culture. Like many before me, my husband and I are also interested in adopting from Japan. Would it be possible to email me the California Liason? Is it easier to call the agencies? Or to fax? Finding this website was such a blessing, as finding where to start for an adoption in Japan is hard because there isn't a lot of information. Your help would be very appreciated. Could I link your blog to mine so that our family may read what the process will be like? Thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing this information on Japanese adoption!
This is also a very beautiful website.

My husband and I are Japanese-American also and went through some unsuccessful fertility treatments.
I am now considering adoption of a toddler and look forward to reading more about the adoption of your Japanese daughter.
